WHAT IS ESCENA PORTÁTIL?

Escena Portátil, meaning Moving Scenes, invites artists internationally to conduct a scenic research project, linking the themes of their work, to the issues of the territory and the community that inhabits it.  An idea created by Chilean artist Alejandra Sáez Araya as part of Escenas en Contextos, the project develops throughout Chile, involving territorial agents, artists and citizens at work. The aim is to find connections through encounters, workshops, conversations and exhibitions that promote dialogue, exchange and cultural development.
