A MESSAGE FROM  SONALI BHATTACHARYYA

I first got to know Adam when I took on promoting his GoFundMe. Adam and I started chatting on WhatsApp and we slowly became friends.

I got to know what a dedicated student he is. How much he loves gardening and football. How much he loves his family. A determined, diligent student with incredible focus, it should have been no surprise when Adam received over 97% in his general upper secondary exams - an extraordinary feat under bombardment, destruction, and the daily struggle to secure food and medicine for his family.

Determined to use his talent and intellect to study medicine, he has been awarded a place at the International Foundation Group in London. Here, he will do his foundation course in medicine, a crucial first step towards a full degree. He’s been awarded the maximum scholarship—but still needs to raise £9,000, plus living costs.

So, we invite you to join a workshop, learn a skill and ensure Adam fulfils his remarkable potential in medicine.

A space where we’ll focus on movement, breath, feeling and sensation: nourishing our bodies, minds and spirits during times of deep unrest. An invitation to be in community; a dedicated moment to be with your body and share practices that can help us process these times we live in, remaining steadfast in our work. Gentle guided exercises will be offered, developing our capacities to sense, and if needed, shift, our internal states. There will be a number of somatic tools shared to take with you. We will be moving, sensing, breathing and speaking. No prior movement experience is necessary. Elina is an award-winning movement artist working across dance, theatre, visual art and film. She loves crafting and hosting movement spaces for people with diverging levels of experience, and from all walks of life.
