BAHAA ELDIN IBDAH
ACTOR, PHYSICAL PERFORMER & WRITER
Bahaa Eldin Ibdah is an actor, physical performer and writer from a village in Northern Palestine called Kabul. His practice focuses on physical expression and movement-based theatre, using the body as a primary tool for communication and performance.
Bahaa’s work engages with themes of occupation, censorship, memory, and survival, drawn from everyday Palestinian realities and inparticular his experences growing up as a Palestinian in 48. Bahaa trained at The Freedom Theatre in jenin Refugee Camp, where he developed theatre as a means of testimony, resistance, and collective reflection.
Bahaa has performed in productions across Palestine, including Keffiyeh Made in China, 970, and Fragments of the Revolution. He has also participated in numerous international projects and productions including in Catalonia, Norway, and Slovenia, and an art residency in India, where he further explored physical theatre.
Alongside performance, Bahaa writes personal and political texts documenting life under occupation, becoming a space to ask, reflect, document, and remember, giving voice to thoughts and expereinces unheard.
