PALESTINE - SOLVENIA
Organised by KUD Pozitiv and Dijaški dom Ivana Cankarja BEING, brings together 60 young people from Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Palestine.
Meeting in Ljubljana, the project explores resistance, social justice, mental health, environmental care, permaculture and community solidarity.
Fragments Theatre and Artists On The Frontline will collaborate to bring a team of twelve young people forming the Palestinian Youth Delegation.
The Palestinian Youth Delegation is led by Rawand Arqawi, Yasmin Shalaldeh & Ahmed Tobasi
and includes, Ahmed Ajjawi, Ansam Sabana, Bahaa Eldin Ibdah, Diyaa Ghanem, Ibrahim Barahma, Rahaf na’erat, Mohammad Abdalla, Mohammed Alqudwa, Naa’ma Taha, Noura Abbas, Saleem Al Sarsak and Yazeed A’bede
A COLLABORATION WITH FRAGMENTS THEATRE
Fragments Theatre in Jenin, Palestine, is a theatre and cultural centre that uses media, theatre, and visual art, to ensure that local voices are heard.
Led by Rawand Arqawi, Fragments strives to provide a safe space for children, women, and youth, to exchange, interact and express themselves through artistic and cultural creations.
Beyond giving hope, Fragments helps vulnerable populations in managing their stress and trauma through the arts.
Artists On The Frontline first began collaborating with Rawand Arqawi and Fragments Theatre in 2023 on Mayday an artist led citizen journalist platform from Jenin Refugee Camp.
