MOHAMMAD ABDALLA
CREATIVE TECHNOLOGIST & PERFORMER
Mohammad Abdalla, was born and raised in Silwad Refugee Camp in the West Bank Palestine. A place shaped by daily pressure and constant uncertainty. Growing up there taught me that both technology and theatre can be more than skills: they can be tools to create freedom, imagination, and new possibilities.
Mohammad studied Computer Systems Engineering at the Arab American University in Jenin while also training in acting at The Freedom Theatre in Jenin Camp. This combination made Mohammad aim to be the first actor inventor, opening a clear path to merge engineering with performance to build solutions for the stage.
Developing his first major project, the "Interactive Spotlight" an autonomous, interactive lighting system , its control applications design aimed to support dynamic theatre production.
As an actor, Mohammad performed in Case 74 at the Palestine University Theatre Festival, receiving awards for Best Theatre Actor and Best Show, and productions incluidng Little Red Riding Hood and Big Love at The Freedom Theatre. Internationally, Mohammad has participated in projects and tours across Norway, Catalunya, and Slovenia. Today, Mohammad continues his educational journey in Oslo, Norway, studying Artificial Intelligence, working towards his long-term goal: becoming an actor-inventor who builds creative technology that serves people, storytelling, and freedom.
Alongside Mohammad’s artistic work, he was elected to the administrative board of the Silwad Social Youth Centre, where he focuses on creating meaningful activities for children and young people in the camp — spaces where they can play, imagine, and grow beyond the limits around them.
